The Imagination Club is a growing STEM (Science Technology Engineering Math) interactive curriculum, conceived by Sreedhar Yedavalli in consultation with educators, parents, scientists and psychologists.
One intent of the Club is to provide a hands-on, practical presentation of the Scientific Method as a procedure for solving problems of all kinds – scientific, logistic, economic and personal – for children 6-10.
Another mission of the Club is to provide comprehensive Science Fair planning and design resources for the student desiring to put forth an in-depth scientific study of a topic of her or his choice. The Imagination Club will present the rules as outlined by the Illinois Junior Science Academy (https://sites.google.com/a/ijas.org/ijas/documents-forms) and assist potental science fair participants in turning their questions and inquiry into experiment a reality. This part of the curriculum is designed for the middle and high school students, though any age can participate.
Finally, the Club will be providing tutoring for the sciences at the middle and high school grades, for general, honors or AP level coursework, by assisting the student in “connecting the dots” between concepts, and providing an overall understanding and mastery of the presented material. Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics are all covered.
